WISKA VIEW's digital recording technique ensures that images from the closed circuit cameras are automatically saved in a central computer. Unlike videotape systems, this allows immediate access to recorded images whilst still recording live. A satellite link makes it possible to call up images as well as remotely control the cameras from any location in the world. All system components can be either computer or BUS operated, thus creating new ways to integrate camera and searchlight operation
The central computer of the WISKA VIEW system is vibration resistant, can be connected and operated remotely up to 32 cameras and/or searchlights, and saves images from the last 24 hours in digital form. For larger monitoring systems, several computer units are networked. WISKA VIEW can be configured so that if another alarm system is activated (fire, gas, black box), permanent images are saved automatically for a defined time period before and after the incident. Data from the on-board navigational system (speed, distance, compass course, time and date), is transferred to the computer where it is stored along with the camera images.
A dimmable TFT flatscreen with 400 cd luminance (with optional touch screen), a keyboard and stainless-steel trackball are also available with the WISKA VIEW-system.
Camera housing is made from seawater-resistant stainless-steel, achieves a high level of protection, (IP 68), and is quite suitable for temperature and climatic conditions of -40°C to 70°C. The housing can be equipped with a heater or windshield wiper and a cleaning system. Positioning is flexible as the camera housing can be mounted above your head on the ceiling or laterally on the wall. In combination with the pan and tilt unit, the camera is operated horizontally and vertically via integration in a BUS system (e.g. ASI-Bus, Profi-Bus) or via a RS 232 interface. The basic camera settings (zoom, iris, etc.) can be operated remotely by an additional telemetrie unit.
Video surveillance is highly recommended for different areas on ships and very effectively complements other alarm systems. All sensitive areas on the ship can be centrally monitored using video cameras to record occurrences affecting security. The integrated pixel monitoring of WISKA VIEW allows automatic surveillance of defined areas. When changes occur within the camera's viewing field, for example, upon entrance of stowaway passengers, the system automatically activates an alarm.
WISKA VIEW is also the ideal solution for all other areas of operation including container terminals or factory sites for efficient and cost-effective surveillance.
